Editorial Standards & Corrections

Facts first. Opinions labeled.

Article source briefs link to official teams, leagues or identified reporting. Our take is a separate original opinion section. We verify dates and avoid publishing rumors as confirmed transactions. Historic highlights identify the original event rather than presenting it as current news.

AI disclosure

Our columns are AI-assisted. Coach Curds, Marge at the Bar and The Stats Nerd are fictional AI personalities, clearly labeled. We do not pass their messages off as real fans or testimonials.

Updates and corrections

News is checked on a schedule, but a check does not guarantee a new article. If you spot an error, use a signed-in article comment to identify the claim and provide a reliable source. Comments are moderated. Material factual corrections should be noted in the article.

The line

Strong language and sports arguments are welcome. Threats, discriminatory abuse and private personal information are not. Source articles, footage and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
